Mediterranean horticulture often applies nitrogen by habit and in excess. What the crop does not take up leaches into aquifers and water bodies, a cost to the grower and a cost to everyone else. Deciding the right dose means knowing, week by week, how much nitrogen the crop actually needs, and that information is not on the calendar: it is in the plant and in the soil.
TELENITRO brings three sources together into a single recommendation system:
