The problem

Biostimulants promise healthier crops with fewer synthetic inputs, but their effect has to be proven with data, not impressions. Comparing treated and untreated fields across a season, in an objective and repeatable way, calls for a way to observe the crop that does not rely only on the field visit. The satellite offers that impartial witness: it measures the whole area the same way, scene after scene, with no bias from who looks or when.

The system

The team that today forms T3 AISAT built the satellite monitoring and the decision support system of the project, funded by the Biodiversity Foundation:

Satellite monitoring

Time series of spectral indices to follow the vigor and status of horticultural crops across the season, field by field.

DSS

A system that combines the satellite signal with the field signal to assess the effect of the biostimulants and support the agronomic decision.

What it proves

MICROMAR leaves a concrete capability: use the satellite as an objective witness to measure the effect of an agronomic practice and back it with data. It works to validate products, trials, and management changes with repeatable, comparable evidence. It is the base on which a manufacturer, a cooperative, or an R&D center can defend what their product really does.
